Thank you for stopping by! I have been teaching Italian in Denver since 2006, when I moved to the U.S. from Rome.

I offer customized individual and 1.5-hour group classes at all levels, from beginner to advanced, as well as a 2-hour conversation group held every other Saturday.

Upon request, I also offer highly effective classes designed for travelers who need to acquire basic Italian conversational skills for travel in Italy.

Classes are held either at my venue in Southeast Denver or at a location of your choice.

A typical lesson will include the study of grammar along with new vocabulary, followed by practical application through conversation. Significant time will also be devoted to reading Italian books and magazines and watching Italian movies or shorts.

My experience as teacher, of both Italian and English, stretches back to the early 1980s. During the past several decades, I have taught both privately and at such institutions as the Pontifical Salesian University, the Centro Linguistico Italiano Dante Alighieri, and the Scuola Superiore dell’Economia e delle Finanze Ezio Vannoni in Rome and more recently, the University of Denver’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI), the Colorado Free University, and the Italian Institute in Denver.

As a former freelance journalist working with both American and Italian newspapers, published author, and member of the Italian Order of Journalists, I have extensive knowledge of Italian history, culture, tourism, wine and food, and politics. When I teach, I try to bring that knowledge to my lessons in order to make them more interesting and fruitful.
